DCIS breast cancer?

You can do it! I did mine last year 2-7-23, am all healed up after surgery and 16 radiation sessions (use aquaphor before and after radiation to stay moist but realize that the grease stains your Bras and t-shirts, so be ready to toss them afterwards). At 64, I asked to have the oncotype Dx test done on the excised tumor. With a score of 17 it showed that chemotherapy would be < 1% effective in preventing recurrence, so I opted out. Please do ask for this test. Good luck. Hugs!

Thanks for the info. Will ask about the test.

Likewise, my DCISion RT test came back showing that even WITH radiation, my recurrence risk was extremely high. As a result, I opted for a double mastectomy. I am done with the worry.
