My peristalsis in my gut seemed to stop almost completely when I got Long Covid 3 years ago. Also bloating: the minute food hits my stomach (not intestines) I bloat up. Almost odorless gas. I take polyethylene glycol every other day to combat both of these problems, and a daily probiotic.
Yes, I have also been diagnosed with gastroparesis. I take Reglan twice day which stimulates gastric motility. I also eat several smaller meals per day which makes it easier to digest foods. And I have to stay away from high fat foods which are harder to digest. BTW my symptoms were severe, intractable nausea and I was hospitalized twice before they finally figured out I have gastrparesis.
I have had a lot of issues post 2020 which I thought my younger years were catching up 😒, but the more I look into this, the more it points to long COVID ... I just learned what gastroparesis a week ago and it's 100% what I've had since 2020 😔
