@egibbens Vaccine questions really ought to be discussed with your medical provider(s) because every person's situation is different with respect to risks from RSV, vaccine risks, medical history, etc.
Here is what Mayo Clinic and the CDC have to say about the vaccine:

As for me, I have several risk factors for severe illness from RSV - age, asthma, another lung disease called Bronchiectasis, regular exposure to young children and older adults (both well-known sources of RSV infection.) I chose to be vaccinated and had less reaction than to any other vaccine in the b=past 5 years - a moderately achy arm for a day.

What have you been advised?

I too had no reaction other than a sore arm, however, ever since having the vaccine I have had a constant runny nose which causes cattarhh and Post Nasal Drip . This is bad for me as I suffer from Bronchial Asthma and once infected can be very ill , with 2 or 3 types of Anti Biotics plus Penicillin, struggling to see off the infection, plus the constant mucous that comes from my nose not helping the situation. I just hope that the vaccine gets out of my system soon and wish I had never had it in the first place.

If I did not get the RSV vaccine my throat issues would be worse
Would have moved down to bronchial or pneumonia
I have to find out if this is a yearly vaccine
I get all vaccines
