I'm just skeptical of the procedure and not sure I want to wear a wire attached to my lower abdomen. But if you get it done, let me know!

I can understand your skepticism about the device in your abdomen. I am considering it as well.
Just a thought: I choose to look at it as being similar to having a pacemaker for your heart. Doctors have been doing those successfully for many years and patients have been helped. It might be wise to ask your doctor if it can be removed if there is a problem.
