I started my treatment five days ago, applying twice a day . My face hasn’t been red , burning , or felt irritated at all . It that normal ? I’m seeing where by now I should
Have side effects , but nothing ? Slight tightness .. has anyone else had no reaction to the cream ? Thank you

@shortpole1 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! We each have our unique health journeys, and I will say, that in the next few days you might be seeing the "working" of the treatment. It may be that your situation is not real pronounced, but I bet there is "something" going on below the surface, literally. Some people seem to have few visible effects of this topical treatment.

What condition does the doctor have you using the fluorouracil for, if I may ask?
Ginger

Today is Day 8 of my applying Fluorouracil to the top of my bald head, and I, too, am not experiencing any side effects, none newsworthy, anyway.

I am on day seven of my twice daily, fourteen day treatment to forehead, nose, and ears. I have observed a few small, localized areas of redness to nose and forehead, tingling for an hour or so after application, and tightness. I am not experiencing the diffuse redness, crusting, and pain as of yet. I agree at this point. Any updates? I can tell "something" is in play for a few hours after application.
