When I was first transferred to Mayo Phoenix it was my doctor that was treating me from a different practice. He based on my need for the kind of treatment He could not accomplish had me transferred by ambulance from one hospital to Mayo. So if your wife has a doctor who first had her admitted to where she is now maybe they also can request the transfer. Just a thought as in my case it was to be evaluated for a Heart transplant and my doctor was already in Arizona. I hope you are successful as I really like mayo Phoenix where ultimately not only did get me a transplant but during a period where I had this virus which was difficult to find and treat the fine staff at Mayo would not give up and did find the virus and treated it. I really like their ability to bring in any specialty to figure out the best treatment plan.
