DEXA scores: mild vs. severe
My primary doctor started me on Fosamax when my DEXA showed -2.5 in the spine. After four years the DEXA was -2.7. A specialist then said to move on to Prolia, which I have delayed a bit. Is my DEXA "severe" enough to warrant that jump? What other meds would some of you suggest at this level? I am 59 and have never had a fracture, that I know of. Thank you.

felicity, I'll ask him.
I am not sure I understand. Are you saying the nurse would not follow that protocol if you said this is what I want. Or that you need studies to understand the rationale for yourself and/or nurse.
I am not sure of your Reclast protocol. I don’t tell the nurse anything! I go in and get my infusion…there is no protocol.
I don’t need studies to understand ..what rationale are you mentioning? I am quite confused. For me, my infusion…very simple…I go into the office, get my infusion and leave. There are no instructions to inform the nurse. She knows what to do and gets instructions from my doctor…not me.
So sorry. I must have responded to your comment in error. Thanks for
