Sorry this is a bit late in reply. I was diagnosed with osteopenia shortly after my CRC diagnosis 7/21/21. 2 years later, after getting proton radiation, LAR surgery, chemotherapy and 1 liver ablation for a solitary metastasis and 2 cryoablations for a total of 3 lung nodules, my Dexascan indicated I had osteoporosis. My endocrinologist suggested Reclast, but I have declined. He talked with my radiation oncologist and we are thinking that my cancer treatments and various procedures contributed to the sudden osteoporosis diagnosis. We agreed to do another Dexascan along with a VFA in one year (which will actually be next week) and reassess my situation.
