Hi Kate,
I cannot take Cipro due to experiencing those very horrid side effects. Intense knee/leg pain after just one dose! So bad, it woke me out of a deep sleep. My dr feels as long as my condition continues to be stable, it is okay not to treat. The positive lab result was quite a while ago. I've had no increased cough, fever, fatigue, weight loss, etc. If anything, my cough has improved since I am diligent about nebulizing with 7% saline & Aerobika plus using compression vest, doing regular exercise and eating a mostly plant based diet, thinking positive - all of which, I honestly believe, are largely responsible for my (knock on wood!) stable condition. This stuff is not easy to figure out. But, thanks to this group, there is much strength in our numbers! All the best to you, too, Kate!

Hello/.........to whomever wants to comment. I have COPD, Bronchietasis, and I got Psuedonmonis and Mycobacteria. On Dec 6, 2023 my Infection Disease Dr from Sanford in Sioux Falls, SD, took me off the Bactrim that I had been on all year. Dr said the Bactrim got rid of my MAC Norcardia. And the also took me off Azithromycin that I'd been on since August 2022. That was the only antibiotic I was on at that point...beings she took me off the Bactrim. So I'm not taking any antibiotics at this moment (Jan 7, 2024.) I was on a third antibiotic, ethambutol but it damaged my Macula in my eye. I was on -Rifibutin in 2022...it damaged my liver to the point of hepatitis. I'm doing saline & Levabuterial in a Nebulizer, Aerobic flutter, shaker vest, Symbicort Inhaler, Singular, NAC muscinex. Beings I refused the last two antibiotics Clofazimine an Amikacin because of side effects. I started Vitamins B, C, D. & Detox teas, different nuts and foods mentioned for holistic healing. I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with any pills or IV's or healthy food, or antibiotics that have been making you feel better???????

Thanks Arlo @ equanimous. Sounds like you are taking excellent care of yourself. I hope your good health prevails!! The Pseudo really did impact my health but I'm hopeful that perhaps the short run on antibiotics somehow knocked it out. My best wishes....Kate
