Dear CyndiMae,
I am not sure if you'll see this. If you do, I, too, am now in the same position as you and Lucy.
Mine started Sept 2024. Perforated colon die to diverticulitis causing abdominal abscess drained 2x. Pericolonic fistuala tract from left gluteous has never healed either. I still have the abscess at 3.4 cm so they're monitoring that. I was hospitalized 3x back to back totalling 6 weeks due to sepsis. I am still weak, all food tastes gross and I'm generally ill most days.
I have a resection being done May 4th of this year.
IF you see this or Lucy responded, how did you do? When I had the drain tube and stuff with the sepsis, I had 16 infections, was on 13 antibiotics, anti vitals and 2 anti fungal for months. I barely have remembrance of almost a whole month when I was first sick. Anyway, sorry about the rant. I do hope and pray yours went well and wondered how you are now. Send a message, if you'd ever want to reach back out. I reside in a very small town and there isn't a support system here for this stuff. Once I am able, I'd like to start one! Thank you again for reading!
