Only thing I could do when I had mine was to burp it. You can pull lightly on the tab on one side and let the air out just make sure you are away from other people it will be unpleasant.
There are accessories you can purchase to release gas. It attaches to the top of the bag and pierces it. To release gas simply lift snap on cap. They are one time use for each bag. They come several in a package. Good luck!

My pouch does the samething at night. It depends what and when you eat. Some alcohol or spicey food does that. I tried the tab to release gas and it leaked. You can get larger pouches that might delay the air filling .

You would think the prices they charge for these bags the company would invest some money in finding a better solution... They are using the same filtering system for the past 10 years. I would change the company I use if another company invented a better filtering system in a heartbeat...
What type of ostomy do you have? I have an ileostomy and found that I had far less gas as time went by. I'm not sure if that is true if a colostomy or not.
Things that give me more gas are:
1. Chewing gum - because I'm swallowing air
2. Carbonated beverages
3. Vegetables like broccoli and cabbage (unless they are very well cooked).
I found the Coloplast filters only lasted a day before getting clogged up. I don't use a filtered bag anymore, though. Twenty years after surgery, I just don't have a ballooning bag very often.

Convatec bags have vents that also have an activated carbon filter in them to absorb odor.
That's All well and Good...BUT The Ballooning is very annoying, especially when you're out in Public...
Have you tried ezvent. Its a little filter that you can open up to release air. Also the Marlin pouches have a filter built in. Maybe other do?
