Years of ago after my PN diagnosis, I learned quickly to NOT drive with flip-flops after I almost had an accident. If you suffer from numbness, wear only shoes with laces or that otherwise fit snug on your feet for optimal control.

Thankfully my feet are not completely numb yet. Something that helps me with gas pedal control ,drive in sport mode in traffic. A 14 camry, this limits car to more gears. Dont have to mash the gas as hard to get a response. In 6th gear. Car not as responsive.
