Excellent question! I don't have THE answer, but as a fellow with idiopathic PN (no pain, but some numbness in my feet) and who's still driving, I'm always wondering what might be the best driving shoes for me. I'm going to watch and see what others have to say. –Ray (@ray666)
Hello @rkjb1951. I moved your discussion and combined it with an existing discussion titled, "Driving with numb feet," -https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/driving-with-numb-feet-f/. I did this so you could meet members like @davidpn, @martyo321, @llg, and others who have shared this similar question.
@rkjb1951, have you tried any shoes that you have ruled out?
Thin soled shoes with rubber sole. Also I put car in neutral at red light to allieve my fear of slipping off the brake and causing accident. Shoes can be cheap. I found sneakers at Costco for ten bucks. LOL
