I appreciate you sharing about your experience with Actemra. I am assuming because the plaquenial hasn’t done much for the PMR and I am having side effects from the methotrexate she is considering my trying Actemra .

I didn’t last long off prednisone…only a week and the relapse was awful …I went off it totally because I thought at 1 mg it wasn’t doing much …pain was spreading to hands and neck anyway so I just stopped it all together when I started the Actemra …as that had been the plan 6 weeks before when I spoke to dr. ..but the total withdrawal was much worse…and fast …started 5 mg of prednisone two days ago and it seems to be getting things back on track

Hi, I just took my first dose of Methotrexate, and am curious, what were your side effects?
