I had my third hernia repair with full open through the back of left lung. The stomach is now secured but GERD is still present and a new symptom : voice hoarseness especially in the morning and at times in the day.

Has anyone experienced this? Unfortunately, I relocated to San Antonio from Chicago not finding a good GI doctor to address my chron’s and GERD.

I have experienced hoarsiness.
But mine is from under active thyroid, probably not your concern , but thought it worth mentioning 🤷‍♀️

I had an endoscopic Nissen many yrs. ago. I haven't experienced reflux, but, sometimes I get the feeling that the food sits on top of the "wrap" and can't go through. This is a slightly painful feeling kind of like it's going to come back up. is this something any of you go through? Also, in the last year or so, I have a thick feeling in the back of my throat, and I clear my throat a lot. Is this common?
