Anyone familiar with the term HSP (Highly Sensitve Person)?

Posted by ginmorgan @ginmorgan, Apr 19, 2022

I am 49. I recently came across this term, and I work emergency medicine, and feel like I'm having a life changing epiphany. Does anyone know if this can be scientifically explained so my family can have peace that I REALLY AM MENTALLY HEALTHY! My mom worked in the psychiatry field and I think she has the trait, so it is VITAL to my mother that she believe in healthy. Not just ok. I'm very lonely, and I need my family to believe and know the next time I tell them I have let this go.

I totally understand your epiphany. I only heard that term about a month ago and I connected in every way. I always thought something was wrong with me. I'm often ti.es misunderstood and co.e off weird or she or just connect my thoughts in a different way to get to an answer. It drives my husband crazy.
I get it and I am trying to learn as much as I can and also find how my past trauma and anxiety work with HSP. ✌️

Simplest way to explain things to your mom or any other person who has studied in the field of psychiatry or psychology or any other “ talk your head off so you feel better” field is to say: looking back leads to depression. Looking too far forward leads to anxiety. There are pills for both of these ailments. But who wants pill pushing idiots to rule our lives? I think no one! So all we need to do is require our brain, break the habit of falling into either of these poles, & live as carefree as humanly possible. No one is immune from illness however let’s use meds when absolutely necessary. Hope this helps‼️🌷
