When you are already sick running it down, and re-testing can be a challenge, especially if already dealing with Long Covid.

My understanding is Paxlovid will only be prescribed as indicated for Patients who have tested positive for Covid. Although it seems reasonable to request as a just in case on international travel, either the physician may chose to strictly follow the FDA approved indication or your insurance may not cover it due to not having active Covid. Let us know if you are able to secure the 5 day dosing to take on a trip. I would also like to do the same
