My dr knows I am extremely apprehensive about the Big 3, given that I am a musician and one of the possible side effects is hearing loss. That combined with the fact that I have 2 close friends and 1 former work colleague that have lost part of their hearing from antibiotics. That is a little too close for comfort!
As with you, I really don't have any bad symptoms i.e. weight loss, shortness of breath, fatigue, fevers, etc. My worst symptom has been a cough which has improved thanks to my diligent daily 7% hypertonic saline nebulizing, airway clearance with the help of Aerobika and compression vest, adhering to a mostly plant based diet, positive thinking and regular exercise.
I know not what the future holds for me but, as long as I am feeling good and my CT scan & labs are stable, I do not see the need for the Big 3. However, that being said, should my health present a danger, then I may consider more aggressive treatment. Good luck to you....I wish you the best!
