For my dad he has stage 4 prostate cancer. He has done 6 docetexel chemi cycle. Now on enzalutamide but one of the Oncologist has suggested this treatment after chemo coz even after chemo he has few cancerous spots on his spine. I have been told it is right time for PRRT Lu 177 treatment but I am not sure what to do before chemo his PSA was 14.75 after chemo it has deceresed to 0.63 and after 1 month of enzalutamide it was 0.12. So I really needs guidance whether to go for PRRT lu 177 or not.

Hi @amee, I'm tagging fellow members like @leebeth @ncoic @spryguy @robert570 @nores717 @dwpoole @dwpoole @eercat81 who can share their experiences with Pluvicto (lutetium Lu 177).

As for deciding whether to start this treatment now or when for your dad, that is a tough one for fellow patients to answer. It sounds like you need more information from his oncologist to help your decision-making. I would ask questions like:
- With his PSA level responding well to current treatment, why is now a good time to include or switch to Lu 177?
- What are the side effects?
- What are the benefits?
- What would happen if he chose not to start this treatment yet? Never?
- Can he take a break or treatment holiday if treatment side effects are too much?

When do you speak with the oncologist to make your decision?
