I have had the Covid vaccines and take normal precautions because I don’t think it makes sense to get covid with its potential side effects after you have had surgery/treated for breast cancer.

Vaccines are developed from viruses currently circulating. Covid vaccines were recently tweaked to defend against mutations. Vaccinations prepare for the future. You get a vaccination for each virus. Then your immune system develops antibodies to each virus. Your immune system thus has a head start in mounting a defense if you contract one of the viruses.

Well put! I have reservations about some medical things, like overtesting, and over medicalizing end of life care, but I always get my vaccines. My mom had a cousin with polio and was terrified of the epidemics. Tears of gratitude would come to her eyes when she'd take us for our shots.

Good for you in convincing yourself. My sister has long Covid, can’t talk and gets extremely tired. She has all the shots the medical system throws at her. She’s a believer like you. Good for you and good luck.
