@johnbishop

I just received an email from Mayo Clinic that was a special report on chronic pain that I thought I would share with the members in this discussion. I think it addresses a lot of questions I've seen and more.

Mayo Clinic Chronic Pain Report -- Chronic pain - From living with pain to living your life:

The email also included a link to the latest version of the book Mayo Clinic Guide to Pain Relief which I'm sure provides a lot of good information. I recently received a copy of the Mayo Clinic book 5 Steps to Controlling High Blood Pressure which I've just started reading to see if I can find some new stuff to work on besides the medications I take ☺.

Thank you for sharing this with us

I was accepted into their 3 week chronic pain rehab program, but ended up being unable to attend because they do not take patients who are unable to participate in all aspects of the program. I had broken my foot and it has still not healed, so since I cannot do the physical maintenance portion of the program, they said I could call them when my foot is healed. I’m conflicted by this as chronic pain people have many barriers and this is one of them....ongoing or occasional acute issues.
