Has anyone tried cupping for pain?

A massage therapist put 12 on my back. Besides unsightly marks, what can I expect?

I had a friend who tried it and I could tell really wanted to believe it helped. It’s a bit too woowoo for me 🙄. I’m a retired statistician/banking leader and a former Marine. So woowoo is just not my jam 🙂

My answer is a big YES! In just the past couple of months, I have seen a difference. As my PT gal explains, it brings in blood to help with the healing process. It can feel a bit uncomfortable if there is a lot of swelling, but it actually helps reduce it

It isn't woo-woo at all. It's science-based and works, along with massage. I have seen a big difference!

PS- WOOWOOing isn't usually my jam either

I believe it has helped me along with massage. It isn't instant but stimulates the healing, I believe.

😁 I will accept that admonition. Woowoo to me is anything I can’t explain at least at a high level.

I can’t explain it but I do respect your informed opinion.

I am always a bit hesitant when people use terms like "I think", "Seems to", "I think", and so on.
