MRI guided SBRT. Where is it offered and best radiation oncologist?

Posted by gently @gently, Dec 10, 2023

Has anyone had MRI guided SBRT outside of the clinical trials. I don't mind participating in a trial, but I can't find an open one. And none of the Mayos want to tell me if it is available unless I spend a fortune flying to one of their destinations. Phillips at Rochester send a vague message saying it would probably be avaiable given that the clinical trial though closed to new patients was ongoing. But then the clinical trial number he cited was for testosterone blockers.
Can any of the mayo moderators can help?
Thanks

gently: here is one MRI guided radiation machine/web site: Elekta.com MRI/Radiation machine combination unit. I believe Phillips is also involved.

I used the Mridian machine from Viewray but it went bankrupt recently and it has one potential buyer, TeamBest Global, who expressed interest in acquiring ViewRay and preserving its technology in October 2023, but no official deal has been announced yet, if ever.

Thanks for the helpful update on Viewray. Sure would be great to see someone make a deal and continue to offer it.
