@lioness There are many different styles. Each major region in China has their own form. The style I practice has 108 movements in three sections, and is "Shanghai" style. It can take from 20 to 40 minutes to complete, depending on how fast you go. The slower you move, the more difficult to maintain balance and focus, but more rewarding. Tia Chi is considered a martial art form, and when done rapidly, you certainly can see the defensive motions.
