I just learned that my copay for Forteo is $777.76. Blue Cross pays the rest...I cannot afford to pay over $700 a month for a medication. Does anyone know if there are discount coupons available for this drug. I've never searched for coupons before so I don't know what I'm doing. Many thanks.

Disregard this post. My insurance gave me the company’s number and they provided info that brought the cost down to almost nothing!

vkmov, I'm so glad. Can you share the number ?

I’m embarrassed to say I can’t find it for some reason. The way it works is you call your insurance company and ask them for the number of the company to get the prescription discount. I don’t know if different insurance companies have different numbers to call so try that. My apologies.

$4 thats wonderful. I do so hope it is as good for you as it has been for me. Thanks

It looks like my specialty pharmacy used 'Save-on-SP' 1-800-683-1074 for copay assistance. My cost is zero. They also supplied needles, alcohol pads and bandages for free. Everything is streamlined very smooth. Hope this helps someone.

Good grief. Thanks for the heads up. I will call my insurance.

Hello @vkmov, I moved your discussion on Forteo costs and combined it with an existing discussion of the same title, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/forteo-costs/, so that members already discussing the price of this prescription would also see your inquiry on how to shop for potential discounts.

I also see that you mentioned your insurance was able to get the cost down to almost nothing to you, which is great to hear. Some members find themselves in different situations and may still find your question valuable.
