Hi Sue, I have heart disease in the family. Father had massive heart attack, age 54. Had open heart surgery, at which time they cut out part of damaged heart from aneurysm. He lived another 15 years.
I am trying to get as much information on bronchiectais, which I have, and connection with Pulmonary hypertension, if any.

Hi playa - I think that would be a great subject for you to research. Common sense tells me that any chronic lung condition might increase the possibility of pulmonary hypertension, but I have no knowledge to back that up. You could try a search for "bronchiectasis and pulmonary hypertension" then following links to research organizations, the heart association and similar sites to find out.
