Rhabdomyolysis

Posted by paktoledo @paktoledo, May 27, 2023

Greetings,
I am not sure which group to post this story in.
I will start here.
This past fall, 2022, I was brought into the E.R. with a diagnosis of Rhabdomyolysis. It is a disorder of muscle tissue breakdown.
I don't remember anything, for 3 weeks ,when I finally came around.
Has anybody had Rhabdomyolysis before on this board?
Could you help me please?
Thank you! Pat

Hey there. I hope you're doing better and haven't had any further issues. I'm coming fairly late to this post as I'm not very active here. I went through it a year prior to your case and I'm still dealing with some symptoms. If you still want to chat, I'd enjoy swapping stories and seeing how you (and maybe others?) have dealt with this uncommon but serious condition. It can really mess you up even if/when from exertion and excertion. Anyways, yes, there is somebody else. I was starting to feel like a unicorn of sorts myself.

Hello!
I am currently not having any symptoms. But, I do exercise a lot. Walk, strength training, and water aerobics. It's been along haul. I am glad I have someone in the same boat. But, I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I would love to chat. Write soon. Pat
