Thanks John. I kind of thought it would be from my back also. Reason being is that my feet NEVER burn at different times. Always the same time. So let's say it was small fiber neuropathy, how would both feet burn at same time always? Surely one foot can't tell the other , hey it's time to burn. My MRI does show my 4 bulging disc pressing on my sciatic nerve. Only way to fix this would be back surgery I suppose. What Brand of the lipoic acid do you take? Thanks. Jerry

One sentence here caught my eye. I have small fiber neuropathy. One of the hallmarks is symmetrical pain. Yes, both feet (or hands, or hips, etc) at the same time.

The na-R-ALA I take now is just one of the supplements in the combined capsules I take with the Protocol - (FAQs - https://theprotocolworks.com/faq/). We used to individually order the supplements from an updated list with links to the individual manufacturers website or through Amazon until the group worked with a Florida pharmaceutical company to combine the different supplements into fewer capsules per day. Before we switched to na-R-ALA we had previously been using a Premium Supplements brand that is not sodium stabilized - https://www.amazon.com/R-Alpha-Lipoic-R-LIPOIC-count-STRENGTH/dp/B01M0QS5C7/.

If I remember right I think we also used Geronova Research na-RALA but it was more spendy. Here's the product link but it's only 115mg so it would depend on how much you take daily as to the cost - https://www.amazon.com/Geronova-Research-Lipoic-Acid-vcaps/dp/B003JOBI3C/. I'm taking 1200 mg daily (600 mg morning and evening) so it would be expensive.
