I had an esophagectomy five years ago and am still dealing with the mucus. I am starting a new drug to see if they can dry me out so that I won’t make so much mucus. It doesn’t seem to be related to food. I had chemo and radiation prior to the surgery. I’ve also had endometrial cancer and lung cancer all three from different organs, not related to each other. I had surgery for the one and more radiation for the lung cancer. They tried to remover the upper right lobe of my lung but my stomach has adhered to my lung so it was not possible without losing what I had.

Wow... you are some living miracle! You've certainly done your share of suffering too! I cannot imagine the mental and physical discomfort you've experienced with these 3 cancers. So... the major culprit being the lung cancer... and treatments for this? Most I counsel I just have them use Mucinex... but guessing you are a few levels past that. And usually time takes care of our mucus issues as the irritation from radiation and the esophagectomy goes away. Usually a nasty cough for a bit too.

So... how's your weight? How are you sleeping? How old are you? Much love to you!

Gary

I'd like to add my welcome @funnyface101002. Have you had genetic testing done or been investigated for Lynch syndrome?
