Hello @scottij!
Although I am not a transplant recipient myself I often feel that people like yourself are given a special gift of wisdom from the experience. This allows you to truly embrace “memento mori” and live your life actively and, in your case, joyously.
I am grateful to have stumbled across this wonderful interview.

Many thanks. The word experience reminds me of another quote I left out. Good judgment (or wisdom) comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment. LOL. Or better, from the Lord of the Rings books spoken by Aragorn after healing Merry Brandybuck. "His grief he will not forget; but it will not darken his heart, it will teach him wisdom."
