There still needs to be a phase 3 study. I would say probably 2025–2026.

I believe the study is still going on. Over the past few months, I submitted my most recent CT scan and medical info for the study. I just received a response from the research assistant to Dr. Daley of NJH informing me I was rejected due to having an "active infection." I asked for details and am waiting more clarification. I am guessing he is referencing my MAC. The study sounds excellent and I hope the it will yield the development of an approved non-antibiotic treatment for BE to reduce inflammation. Fingers crossed!

I spoke with my pulmonogist about partipating in the trial and she gave me the okay to do so. When she researched she found that it is in early stages. Apparently right now they are just testing tolerability of the treatment and how many people stick with it. Anecdotally, the research person said they had been having 'really good results' in their trial. May be awhile though before we see that in practice. I am still on the fence about doing it as I would have to be off of hypertonic saline for 56 days. I feel that's the thing that keeps me healthy.
