Good Morning, all~
Thank you for your question.
I found out after years of being so very physical and healthy...that in my early 20's, having severe Endometreosis..and then having to have Depo-prevera injections...that that medication is a bone robbing medication. I have no other answer for the bone loss that I have. My older sister, 81, who never really did anything to aid in her bones staying strong, barely has Osteopenia....
I have been using the 5 types of collagen, (Code-age) for many years now and do feel the benefits of it. I also added in Saw Palmetto 250mg. a day and can really feel and see the difference adding in this supplement as well. I use Bone-Up these days and also take Strontium...so my DEXA isn't as accurate as it would be if I didn't use Strontium..I understand this. Vit K-2 is in Bone-up. I'm now 79 and even with the compression frxs in my spine..have little to no pain..most of my days. I use a hot pack when I do have pain as well as a red-infrared belt..which really works wonders, as well. I wish everyone would feel as well as I do, frankly.
Seems like my younger friends are all going through a lot of discomfort these days...as I don't see them taking many supplements to aid in their aging processes. I take a plethora of supplements that I've researched and feel good for taking. My labs are all within normal ranges..I avoid sugar, alcohol...and red meat...also mostly eating organic foods. While it's very difficult, these days to stay positive about aging and life in general...being grateful for what we do have, I've found to be most beneficial as well.
I wish you all the best...blessing to you all.
