I’ve had muscle pain that feels like a burning sensation just when up and moving around. Dr said it sounded like fibromyalgia symptoms and started me on lyrica because neurontin didn’t help. I take 150mg at night and 75mg during day and it’s helped tremendously.
For the after exercise pain in my legs that feels unbearable for days has been recently diagnosed as PEM (post exhertional malaise)…. You can look up most of this if you put the right key words in… I haven’t found any relief from that and most studies say “listen to your body and don’t over exert yourself”…. As the only remedy

After I wrote in, I spoke with my doctor about it. She said it has to do with my adrenal glands not working properly, and not being able to get the lactic acid out of my leg muscles. She said to only exercise - meaning taking walks - for 10 minutes at a time. I need to tell my body that I’m not going to hurt it, and exercising too much will do more harm than good.

It’s interesting how many different explanations we’re getting. On the other hand, our symptoms seem to be a bit different.
