When one reaches 80, one realizes that one has an expiration date. You know that you have been given a reasonable life span. Then there is the quality of life that is important. My doctors told me that their job is not to make me live as long as possible but to give me a quality of life as long as possible. I think my job is to make the most of it!
And it is wise to understand who one is, what has happened in one's life and accept it.
