unbearable tugging and electric buzz feeling in leg
I have a constant contracting, tugging, electric shock feeling and ache behind knee in front of knee, calf, back and front of thigh...like the reaction you get when someone runs their fingernails down a blackboard 24/7.....I'm starting to get to the stage I can't take it anymore. All the drs are handballing me between them. Surely there is something someone can do.........I can't live like this.

Does anyone get a horrible tugging pulling electric type feeling down the back of their leg and front of thigh just above knee? It is a very distressing feeling very hard to live with.
Have you had your b12 or folate tested? From my understanding, to accurately test for b12 serum you need to be off of b12 supplements and b vitamin drinks for at least 4 months (the average life of a red blood cell) . There are other tests to be ran too, but there is no gold standard test. Plus, there is research that the "normal" cut off of above 200 is too low, especially if neurological symptoms are present. Have you heard of the book Could It Be B12? I listened to it for free thru my local library and the free app Hoopla. You can also watch the free movie Sally Pacholok on YouTube. She also has a website. From my understanding, if you have neurological symptoms you need every other day b12 injections until symptoms improve. I am going thru similar issues of buzzing and tingling in my leg. I am also getting the run around in doctors. I have lots more to say on this. But I'll stop here while you have time to process and research what I've said. I've learned I have to advocate and fight for my life.
I take a medication called pramipexole for my legs jumping around like electric shock running through them ask your Dr about this it’s a prescription
I have CIDP and, prior to having immunoglobulin infusions, my legs were feeling like they had chains on them and were holding me back. It was really difficult to move up hill. Since my treatments have begun, I have not had this issue to such a great extent.
I get relief from using a baker's rolling pin, rolling it over and over the area. Also, Lidocaine cream is a life changer for me. The electric feeling might indicate nerve pain, which can be helped by Lyrica. As far as the distressing reaction, it can be helped by EFT Tapping. There is a free app called the Tapping Solution. Do a web search about this therapy. I use it daily.
We do have to do our own research to get true relief from any health problem that is not easily explained at the doctor. Doctors are not magicians and are only as good as their education and experience. I have found much better help with my endless health problems, from younger doctors with the most up to date educations.
I'm a big fan of EFT. Like you, I use it daily, and it has helped me tremendously.
I was beyond skeptical at first, but it's been life-changing.
EFT?
Yes!
EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique AKA "Tapping", is used by man people to help with a wide range of issues. Here's a decent summary:
https://therapist.com/types-of-therapy/emotional-freedom-technique-tapping-eft/
"The Emotional Freedom Technique applies acupressure, not acupuncture, to the body’s meridian points. Instead of inserting needles into the skin, you can apply pressure to the body’s meridian points by tapping them five to seven times with your fingertips, encouraging the body’s energy to flow."
On YouTube, you'll find a great many videos to get you started. Search =EFT tapping= and take your pick.
It doesn't work for everybody (nothing does), but many people, including me, have had great success with it.
