Forteo Costs
I will be starting Forteo soon. My medicare plan D covers both Forteo brand and Teriparatide generic. My monthly cost is roughly $1500/mos. Is anyone aware of additional programs to cover the cost? I'm not eligible for the Forteo Savings card as I'm on medicare. Nor am I eligible for the Lilly Foundation program as my income is over $78k.
Second question. From what I've read so far it looks like the cost of needles is not covered in the plan costs, rather an additional cost outside the plan. If this is correct, where are you purchasing these needles and what is the ball park cost?
I'm hoping my questions will help others as well.

Is this the card that works to discount Forteo $3,26877% off retail price?
Did you apply to LillyCares? My income is much higher that 78K and LillyCares fully covered all 24 months of my treatment (I just finished in September). I didn't think they would cover anything but my doctors office kept encouraging my to apply.
It is something like a Tier 3/4(?) drug so the max income is quite a bit higher.

0611945, if you tap this link it will bring up the GoldRX coupon. It is
for generic teriparatide brand Alvogen.
I've never seen the card you successfully sent.
The Lilly card is interesting, especially since you've just received it.
RXAdvocates is paid by Lilly to handle the savings for lower income
individuals that can be used by medicare patients, but they charge $70 a
month. They send four pens and no needles.
Thank you. I will try to contact Lily cares.
I understand
from Wellcare that ForTeo is a tier 5 drug.
I went to Lillycares. I spoke with their representative who told me Forteo was a group one medication.
As you can see on the application, the maximum income is $43,740.
Lily cared will not work for me.
I applied through my Dr.'s office. It has been just over 24 months. The income level was $178K. I renewed last year with no problems. (And just got a renewal application but do not need it.)
Does RXAdvocates supply needles?
That is correct ,I do get it for 70.00 but four month supply but it doesn't include needles .
Update , you do not get free needles though RX advocate but you can though Lilly Cares
