Yes, I have been coughing blood up with sputum about every 3 years for 13 years. Otherwise no coughing. But this past August I coughed up pure blood for 60 hours. I went in for a pulmonary embolization but it couldn't be done due to blockage. I opted to not do antibiotics and have been watching diet and taking supplements. 3 months and no blood. I suggest you see a new pulmonologist. Mine had me in for testing the same day.
