Hello @lyssia @parus
Yes, I know what you both are referring to. Before my diagnosis with Parkinson's (PD) I had several neurologists tell me that I was "stressed," etc. and nothing was really wrong from a neurological standpoint. Finally, one doc recommended a psych consult. So, I thought, why not? I had recently been divorced and was in a career change, etc., both of my parents had been ill - so maybe I was too stressed.
So, I saw the psychiatrist who put me through the battery of tests and finally concluded that I didn't have a psychiatric problem (he did compliment me on how well I handled some of life's changes!) but he said that I did have signs of a neurological problem and suggested that I keep looking for an answer from a neurologist. Finally, a number of years later the PD diagnosis came about.

@lyssia - I'm grateful for a neurologist who doesn't just blow me off, but listens, and is doing tests that indicate that he wants to know what's going on. It took me awhile to get him to communicate with me, and it was worth the effort. He's a naturally shy, very quiet man, and so am I, which isn't a good combination for making productive conversation. I guess I've been persistent enough, and asked enough questions to make him notice me.
