My question is specifically about NAC, which is the precursor of glutathione. NAC has been found to work well for a number of issues like inflammation, I assume because it "boosts" the production of glutathione in the body as it is metabolized. I just don't have time to take a "deep dive" researching it for a few weeks.

The studies on oral NAC vs IV NAC are with respect to acetaminophen overdose. For general health usage I would think the oral is sufficient to bring the results.

using liposomal supplements solves the problem of absorption for many supplements. I recall there was something specific about glutathione that made the liposomal only partially more effective than non-liposomal but here is one brand that I have used. They may sell only to doctor offices now but they still sell to me as I used to buy in bulk. Maybe if you told them Dr Johnson from Florida referred you they would sell in smaller batches. I will try to look up the specifics of glutathione and why liposomal only partially solves the absorption problem and report back to you:
