How did you get relief with a spinal stimulator? Adjustments?
My name is Glen and i have had the Nevro HF10 spinal stimulator implanted since Sept 1, 2021 and the company rep hasn't been able to dial it in on my terrible lower back pain yet. I have complete confidence in this unit because the temporary one that they inserted worked unbelievably well. It's been 6 months and counting with no relief thus far. I'm hoping to reach out and hear from anyone out there about their experiences with this Nevro unit. Please help if you can! Thank You!

Hi Glen. I had a Boston Scientific stimulator implanted 2 years ago and it worked fairly well. I had severe burning skin in my lower back due to central pain syndrome. I needed frequent adjustments and the rep was wonderful. After a year it stopped working no matter what the rep did so I had it removed this past August. I still have the burning all over my torso now (I've had several nerve blocks that haven't helped) but the pain isn't much worse than it was with the stimulator.
Good luck and I hope your rep can hit the right spots so you can get relief.
If they haven't been able to get relief after six months of adjustments, it's not likely that you will get any relief from the stimulator. Sorry. Hope I'm wrong, but that's just the reality. Did you get relief from the trial? If so, you should be getting at least some pain relief from the implant.
Just curious if the Boston Scientific reps were helpful at all in making adjustments to your programs?
My trial went well in beating the constant sciatica pain so I’m set to get my implant on 11/28.
Any input would be appreciated.
The reps and surgeon were very helpful. One was assigned to my account. However, the results using the device were not very good. Hope you have the best results.
Was told by the line specialist that because of my Laminectomy and Spinal Fusion they would not be able to place the leads where they needed to be so so am now no longer a candidate. Was disappointed but it is what it is. The people who I know who has it were divided into two camps. The first one was there they did not think it helped and the other was that it helped for a while and improved their quality of life but over time became less effective. Hope your results are positive and it reduces your pain
