@vlpr

Thank you for checking up on me. I saw my oncologist on Monday and got the all clear. I will be on a 2 month schedule again, then maybe can go back on a 3 month schedule.
My husband has improved - he is aware of things, but he is by no means himself. He knows who I am, but shows no pleasure in seeing me. He is still on 24 hour surveillance. I've been optimistic, however yesterday and today I've felt a bit down. I decided to take this afternoon for myself and will not travel back to the hospital this afternoon. I need to be there at 7am tomorrow to give consent for my husband to have anesthesia for a brain MRI.
Monday was such an up day with my report and my husband coming out of his complete delirium. I'm working on positive thoughts going forward. VLPR

@vlpr, What a rollercoaster ride you are enduring! This would be a lot for anyone to process. I'm glad your scans looked good, and you can focus on helping with your husband, and on a little selfcare. Don't forget to take care of yourself, it sounds like you recognize that, but sometimes we can all use a reminder that it's ok to take a break.
