I’m glad to hear he got back to normal! Yes, nothing is mentioned which is dangerous! My balance is way off and get dizzy, hoping not to fall. I have a hard time with words, surgery was aug 3rd but article said it could be permanent ☹️

@saucy Thank you for your comment about postoperative delirium. I share your concern after having an experience after knee surgery (Jan 2025) in which I received both spinal anesthesia and general anesthesia after being told general anesthesia was no longer used for knee surgery. I was hospitalized for 3.5 days with hallucinations, memory loss, agitation, and disturbed reality.

Neither the surgeon, surgical staff, medical director or nursing staff seemed to have an answer to why I received both types of anesthesia. The nursing staff seemed unprepared to deal with patients having delirium after surgery, making my recovery even more difficult.

My other knee still needs to be replaced and I am now at heightened risk for surgery. While I won't be scheduling with the same surgeon or hospital, I'm worried about doing it elsewhere. Any information on where I might go for the surgery would be appreciated.

Many thanks!
