The dizzy and faint feeling is one of the main side effects of this drug, but the heart irregularities feels more serious. My best friend had dizziness and faint feeling with xeloda and could drive or do anything dangerous. Even having someone in the house when she showered.
She did feel like it was better if she stayed hydrated, but this was sometimes difficult to manage due to nausea. She was on a few other drugs as well, I am unsure which one caused all the nausea.
Are you on a cocktail of drugs or just this one? Have you mentioned this to your prescribing physician?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I’ve mentioned it and they think it’s to do with my blood pressure - although mine is generally high and I’m taking medication for it. I’m mostly drinking 4 pints a day, trying for more, but it’s not easy. I’m good with nausea as I’m taking Zofran every morning after a stomach liner as Xeloda gives me ulcer like pains. I’m not taking the anti nausea in the evening as I feel I can endure nausea at night, mostly sleeping. It causes severe constipation so one Zofran a day will have to do. Thanks for mentioning that dizziness is a known side effect, I worry less being made aware of that rather than think there is something seriously wrong!
