I’m blessed with 3 autoimmunes (lichen planus is one) and have severe itching. For the last 15 years, I’ve taken Allegra everyday as it’s the only thing that keeps me from scratching myself bloody. Maybe it’s a histamine response, I don’t know. But it really helps, along with lotion and warm, not hot showers. Hope you find a fix!

Hi taosmary, I had the itching for many years. I also take an antihistamine every day. A few years ago a friend mentioned taking Biotin, it's a Vitamin B7, so I tried it. It worked very well to calm the itching for me. Maybe you can try it. I take 10,000 mcg a day. One of the perks is that my hair and nails are better than they have ever been. LOL My doctor said it not harmful as the unused B7 is removed in your urine. If it is bright yellow don't panic, that is normal. You could also try a lower dose and increase it if it doesn't work. Good luck and keep smiling, it makes the day better.

@taosmary try Gabapentin. My dermatologist has prescribed it for my itching and it is working.
