@1942marilyne you are so right! I read that as we age and have normal loss of brain neuron connections, and “normal” brain shrinkage, it is critical that we form new connections by learning new things. It slows down mental decline.

@bunnybear Definitely helps with diminishing mental decline. My daily routine includes doing crossword puzzles, reading what I thought was going to be too much for me to handle, and finding out I'm smarter than I thought! When out and about I try to find conversation with people I don't know - I learn and at the same time keep that brain shrinkage at bay. Not always easy, but that is good too...keeps you on your toes!
