Hi. I’m new to this group. I just had a radical hysterectomy because of endometrial cancer, stage one. Literally, three days after the surgery, My mood just plummeted. I have now been on an estrogen patch for four weeks. Waiting for it to kick in. I am going through radiation, my last treatment today. Only three treatments total. I can’t believe how badly/low I have felt. Surgeon did not think I would have any trouble because I was 65 but boy was she wrong. And God bless her. She saved my life!

I am going to work with a wellness clinic who will look at the whole body. Looking forward to that.

Welcome, @lseeber58. Congrats on completing radiation treatment. I invite you to join the discussions about endometrial cancer in this support group:

It sounds like your surgeon thought that the effects of a hysterectomy wouldn't be so hard because you were already post-menopausal before surgery. Is that correct?

Are you taking progestin as well as estrogen? Did you also talk to your cancer team about taking estrogen via the patch?
