Osteoporosis - definitive test/diagnosis?

Is there a definitive and conclusive test for osteoporosis? If so what is it/what are they?

Yes, it's called a Dexascan. It can identify osteopenia as well as osteoporosis.

My DEXA scan does not indicate I have osteoporosis. Presently I have seven fractured vertebrae. I believe the definitive diagnosis for osteoporosis is fracture.

Trabecular Bone Score calculates the micro cellular structure of the bone but may not be covered by insurance. This was mentioned in an article I just got from the American Bone Society. Will be meeting with my endocrinologist NP in several weeks and will follow up.

Yes, Dexa is used to identify OP. However, the presence of non traumatic fractures = OP.

My Dexa scan numbers were fine. My diagnosis was based off of fractures. T8 spinal, non-injury fracture. 14 additional fractures Some fractures were rare and hard to do. I broke off the back half of my Tibia up the center from the middle down to my ankle joint at 22 y/o. I had other fractures that showed up randomly in X-rays. "I see that one time you broke your ......... "
