my endocrinologist prescribed it but typically, they do not prescribe HRT unless you can find an open minded progressive doc. He happened to be well versed in hormones because he was a specialist in treating trans people. Once I explained why I felt it was my best option due to my autoimmune issues, he agreed to it at lowest dose, shortest duration. I'm 5 years into using it and now use an integrative gynecologist who is very knowledgeable to prescribe.

U r a wise woman. I also found a doctor who put me on an estrogen patch. Guidelines from FDA and failed nurses study years ago, prevent them from prescribing due to fear of being sued. Unfortunately, no other research has proven they cause strokes, blood clots, or breast cancer. Go on line and check out how the rest of the world prescribes ERT for osteoporosis, esp England.
