Neuropathy & applying for Disability
Has anyone applied for social security disability due to their neuropathy pain and restrictions from it? I’ve applied and was just declined. Which I knew would happen. I’ve had peripheral neuropathy for about 13 years. I don’t sleep but maybe 3 hours. I’m on lyrica and medical marijuana in gummy form. Doesn’t help much. But I decided to apply for disability on the advise of my doctors. Who all support the decision. My balance is off. My pain is 24/7. My cognitive skills have suffered. I can’t stand or walk more than 15-30 minutes at a time. Just doing basic housework is a problem. Then there’s the side affects of lyrica which is swelling in my feet. And side affects of the gummies which are feelings of lethargy.
Just wondering if anyone has applied for disability due to their neuropathy.
Thank you.

I did not know stress made things worse until my electrophsiologist told me. They had to up my heart meds from 50 mgs extended release three times a day to 100 mgs. . I could not figure out why the arrhythmias got worse. I was under a lot of stress at the time. I received an hour long lecture and decided to make some changes.
I believe you’re right. I never thought about all the attorneys that are hired. The attorney that I am using has been called upon to speak in Congress about the process. I told them they work from home and are not being monitored. You can’t return their phone calls because they are working from home. You have to wait for them to call you back and pray you are not at the doctors office. They denied me without even ordering my medical records just so I would hire an attorney for the appeal process that happened over a year ago and it’s still pending. So when you look at all the bonuses that people received during Covid am I eligible for that since I had already applied whenever they decide to payout. If we go to court I am asking the Judge to fine the Social Security Administration for not doing their jobs.
I'm surprised the Medical Marijuana dosnt help you sleep. Try vaping after your in bed. I have the same situation as you as far a pain. I find Tramadol helps during the day with pain. Nothing great but helpful. 50 MG 3 times a day. I've done it all Acupuncture, Tens, Chiro, foot Doctor and Nuroligists. Find something that gives you relief even if its Codeine if you can get it.
