Yes, in my experience, that is true. Damaged people do damage people. One prominent example of this is obvious when observing a wide circle of legal problems among people who helped a famous politician whose name will not be mentioned. My late husband was a depressed person, wonderful but his “blue funks” could be painful to me. A “rescuer,” I worked hard trying to help him.
